1. About the shop
This website is operated by our pawnshop, a licensed pawnbroker under the Pawnbrokers Act 1972. Our registered name, company registration number, pawnbroker licence number and business address are listed at the foot of this page.
2. What this website can do
This website provides two services only:
- View your own pawn tickets that have not yet been redeemed
- Pay the interest on a pawn ticket to extend its term
3. What this website cannot do
None of the following can be done online. The pawner must come to the counter in person with the pawn ticket:
- Redeem a pledge
- Exchange, add to or alter a pledge
- Apply for a new pawn loan
- Transfer a ticket or change the pawner's name
- Report a lost ticket or request a replacement
4. Who may use it
You must be the pawner named on the ticket, and your email address must already be registered at our counter. This website identifies you by your identity card number together with a code sent to that email address. If you have not registered an email address, please come to the counter.
5. Logging in and security
A login code is sent only to the email address you registered. It is valid for 10 minutes and can be used once.
We will never ask you for your code by phone, SMS or WhatsApp. Anyone who asks you for it that way is attempting to defraud you.
Please keep your own email account secure. If you believe your email may have been compromised, tell us as soon as possible and we will stop sending codes to that address.
We will also never send you a payment link by phone, SMS or WhatsApp. Any payment link claiming to come from us is fake. This website's address is printed on your pawn ticket. Please type it in yourself.
6. Paying interest
The interest shown on this website is the amount we calculate from your ticket at the moment the page is opened. You may pay the full amount only. This website does not let you choose a different amount.
The term is extended after the bank confirms the payment, usually within a few minutes, and not at the moment you press the pay button.
If for any reason the amount received is less than the interest due, the term will not be extended. We will hold the money and contact you.
Online payments are processed by CHIP IN SDN BHD. We do not see and do not store your card number or online banking password.
7. The pawn ticket remains the governing document
The pawn ticket in your possession, together with the Pawnbrokers Act 1972, determines the rights and obligations between you and us. This website is only a convenience for viewing and paying.
If anything shown on this website differs from your ticket, the ticket and our own records govern. Please contact us immediately if this happens.
8. The service may be interrupted
This website may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, or because of network or payment processor problems, without prior notice.
Please do not leave an online interest payment until the last moment before maturity. If the website is unavailable then and your term matures, the consequences still follow the ticket and the Act. Our counter can always accept an interest payment, and that is the safest way.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
